Eaton Showcases Filtration Media and Systems at Powtech 2016
TINTON FALLS, N.J. March 21, 2016 – The Filtration Division of power management company Eaton is showing an extensive range of filtration media and systems at the Powtech 2016 trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, from 19 – 21 April (Booth 609, Hall 3A).The filtration media and systems are used for various process steps in the manufacturing of enzymes, antibiotics or phytopharmaca, or in the fractionation of plasma protein products. Whatever their particular interest, all attendees will gain insight into the diversity of products available from Eaton.
The combination of BECODISC® stacked disc cartridges and the enclosed BECO® INTEGRA® DISC filter housing in sanitary design offers excellent reliability and high performance in terms of optimum and safe cleaning and sterilization of the complete system. Stacked disc cartridges are increasingly used for clarification filtration of cell culture media and protection of downstream membrane filters and are considered trendsetting technology in biopharmaceutical applications.
Visitors seeking filter bag solutions for the most demanding applications will see the quality of the TOPLINE™ bag filter housing for themselves – from its high-performance design to its investment-cast components. The top inlet requires less headroom and allows liquid flow through the cover, improves sealing, reduces product loss and makes filter bag change-outs cleaner. Various CLEARGAF™ filter bags meeting EC migration performance requirements will also be shown.
A highlight for visitors from laboratory and research centers is the BECO INTEGRA PLATE™ 200 EP enclosed depth filtration system. It is designed to meet the complex requirements of plasma fractionation and offers reliability combined with efficiency. The BECO INTEGRA PLATE EP range is available in 200 mm, 1000 mm as well as 400 mm, 600 mm and 800 mm; making it easy to increase the scale of both fine chemical and biopharmaceutical processes. Users can test on a small 200 mm scale under standardized conditions, while even large volumes can be handled by using the 1000 mm version. An article with an in-depth description of the BECO INTEGRA PLATE EP and its application, entitled ‘High demands on depth filtration in plasma fractionation’ will be available during the exhibition. Depending on the filtration requirements, visitors will get an insight into the large range of different BECO depth filter sheets that are used for coarse, clarifying, fine filtration and microbe reduction.
For laboratories and research centers requiring small volume filtration solutions the BECO INTEGRA LAB 60 P enclosed single sheet depth filtration system will be on display. It can be used for small batches and batches increasing in size in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, and cosmetic industries. The versatile BECO INTEGRA LAB 220 P will also be at the show; this allows coarse and fine filtration, powder and fine filtration, or pre-filtration and sterilizing filtration to be carried out in one filtration step.
To complete the diversity of products Eaton will showcase the BECO INTEGRA CART cartridge housings, together with depth filter cartridges – BECO PROTECT® PG, PP2, and CS.
